Jan 23 Wednesday Bob Burn-Murdoch - Victorian St Ives
Bob is the Curator of the Norris Museum in St Ives and an authority on the history of St Ives. Copies of his latest book "Victorian St Ives" will be available

Mar 26 Wednesday Bridget Flannagan - The Golden Age of the River Great Ouse
In the late Victorian and Edwardian times the river was a venue for artists, fisherman and boaters. Bridget will describe some of their activities

Apr 23 Wednesday Quiz and Social evening with the Roxton Local History Group (at Roxton) 7.30pm, the venue and charge will be announced later
Mar-May   Huntingdon Library & Houghton Mill exhibition The exhibition will be in the Library from March to Easter and in the Mill from Easter to October.
May 28 Wednesday Tony Kirby - The rise and decline of British Seaside Resorts since 1750
Tony will explain how often insignificant coastal settlements became the large and thriving resorts that were still popular in our young days and how the prosperity of many has waned in recent years.

Jun 7&8 Saturday & Sunday Village History in The Chapel Centre in conjunction with the Parish Church Flower Festival
Jul 5 Saturday Stall at the Feast Week Fete on the playing field
Jul 13 Sunday Birthday of Potto Brown The traditional "crowning" of Potto Brown on the anniversary of his birth will take place at his monument in The Green. this will be followed by: A Conducted Historical Walk round the Village and the evening will end with refreshments.

Michael White - The Ely Cathedral Lantern
This feature of the Cathedral which is also known as the Ely Octagon, has been described as "one of the most spectacular spaces ever built in an English church". Michael's illustrated talk will describe why and how the lantern was built. There will be an opportunity during October for a group of members to have a guided tour of the Cathedral and Lantern Members’ Evening

Oct 22 Wednesday Mary Dicken - The Suffragettes
"Votes for Women" was their slogan. But who were these women, what did they do and who benefited?

Nov 26 Wednesday Stuart Orme - The Norman Cross Prisoner of War Camp
We are familiar with POW camps, particularly because the stories of their occupants have been depicted many times on film. But the account of this large camp remains in only a few documents and artefacts. Why? Because it existed for just a few years time two hundred years ago.
